We are currently seeking experienced professionals in the following positions:

Office Engineer

Bowman Engineering & Consulting, Inc. is a transportation industry engineering, construction management and environmental consulting services firm. Our successful candidate will work in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

The successful applicant will have a proven work history in comparable positions as a project engineer or office engineer for a construction contractor or construction management consultant at construction sites. Experience with document control applications on multiple concurrent construction contracts is a plus.

Basic Qualifications:

·         BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management; or BA in Architecture and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an office engineer or project engineer; or a combination of relevant training and education with 10 to 15 years experience.

·         Heavy civil, underground, building, and transit system construction experience is highly desirable.

·         Must be proficient with MS Office, Word, and Excel, and possess working knowledge of Pro Log, Expedition, or similar project data tracking software.

·         Experience with alternative project delivery methods, including design-build, CMGC and design-bid-build desirable.

·         Ability to work effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team, in a collaborative and fast paced environment.

·         Cost Estimating and Scheduling experience preferred.

  Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Initial reviewer/responder to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals

·         Maintain project as-built documentation

·         Manage submittal and RFI review process

·         Coordinate submittal reviews and RFI responses by the designers and engineers/architects of record

·         Assist with determining the merit of the change requests and claims

·         Package and track proposed change orders, and work with cost/schedule engineer to establish the scope and content of change orders for pricing

·         Review Contractor’s Payment Applications

·         Oversee maintenance of project files, including photo documentation of inspections and Inspection Daily Reports

·         Log, track, calculate quantities for payment

·         Perform other duties as assigned

·         Support project managers, resident engineers and construction managers in various aspects of project delivery
