Tex-Rail

BOWMAN ENGINEERING & CONSULTING, INC. (BEC) is part of the program management team for the 37 mile $900M TEX Rail commuter rail system serving passengers from southwest Fort Worth, Texas to DFW International Airport.  Nine stations are planned along the route.  This Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The-T) project requires coordination with the Fort Worth Western Railroad (FWWR), UPRR, TxDOT and the City of Fort Worth for shared operations.  Bowman provided leadership support through the Preliminary Engineering and EIS phases of the project, as well as coordination with the FTA throughout the New Starts application process.   Moreover, BEC is providing the procurement, program management, and construction oversight of the design-bid-build project  Bowman is also overseeing the vehicle procurement and systems certification plan task orders along with assisting with the full program cost estimate, preliminary engineering plans review, and program risk assessment.
