As president and founder of Bowman Engineering & Consulting, Shauna is an experienced transportation engineer and project manager with extensive highway and transit experience, as well as specialized hydraulic expertise including highway drainage design and hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS. She currently serves as Project Principal for the Denton County Transportation Authority general engineering consultant contract, providing client support services for the $350+million, 21-mile corridor A-train. She has more than eight years experience as a design engineer on a variety of projects including:
- Interstate Hwy. 35E from US 77 to Parkerville Road in Dallas;
- XII South Tollway and Southeast Corridor Line Section SE-1, both in Dallas;
- State Hwy. 121 in Fort Worth.
- Denton County A-Train Commuter Rail Project
- DART Mockingbird intersection improvements
Her experience includes the development of geometrics for roadway main lanes and cross sections, and the design of typical sections, signing, and pavement markings. She is skilled in preparing final plans, specifications and estimates. A licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Shauna has a BS degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas and has additional training in GEOPAK, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, and Sure Track Project Manager. She is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Texas Society of Professional Engineers and Women’s Transportation Society.
